A24 documentary about Elizabeth Holmes opens to $15 million

A new documentary from movie company A24 about Elizabeth Holmes opened to $15 million in only 855 theaters. Reporter Julia Boorstin shared the details about the huge debut. The film had one of the largest openings of this century for a movie debuting on fewer than 1,000 screens. "This is the biggest opening for a documentary in 22 years since Fahrenheit 911 opened in 2004 to $24 million" The film will expand to a wide release next weekend.
