Apple is planning a massive retail push for the upcoming iPhone Duo. The Fifth Avenue store in New York City will feature over 150 demo units. Smaller locations will still carry around 20 devices for customers to test. Preorders open on October 16th ahead of the October 23rd release.
Step inside any Apple Store in two weeks and you will not miss the new folding phone. Apple, the tech giant worth over $3,000,000,000,000, is planning a massive retail rollout for the upcoming iPhone Duo. The Fifth Avenue location in New York City will feature more than 150 demo units spread across hands-on stations and fixtures. The Apple Park Visitor Center in California will hold nearly 100 units. Other major locations, including Michigan Avenue in Chicago, the Grove in Los Angeles, and the Upper West Side in Manhattan, will each set out 30 to 40 units. Even smaller stores will stock around 20 demo units for customers to test. Apple has also designed new MagSafe stands capable of holding an unfolded Duo alongside two standard phones. Some demo units will sit without security tethers along the sides of stores so shoppers can test features like StandBy mode. Special moving fixtures will constantly open and close the device so incoming shoppers see it immediately. The new folding phone launches on October 23rd, but supplies will be extremely tight. If your business depends on upgrading your tech early, mark your calendar to preorder on October 16th before the stock vanishes.
