Executive Chairman Michael Saylor just pushed his company's crypto holdings to a staggering new high. Strategy added 250 Bitcoin for $21.5 million, paying an average price of $86,194 per coin, according to the Foreign Policy Journal. The latest buy was funded by selling 125,183 shares of Class A common stock and drawing on cash on hand. Strategy now sits on a jaw-dropping 848,250 Bitcoin, acquired for nearly $64 billion at an average cost of $75,444. With market prices climbing, that digital vault is valued at more than $70 billion, leaving the firm with about $6 billion in unrealized profit. Alongside the crypto accumulation, the company repurchased 1,932,145 shares of its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock, known as STRC, for $192.4 million. Strategy also holds about $5.5 billion in total USD assets, including $4.88 billion in reserves and $640.5 million in cash. The firm still has billions of dollars ready in its various at-the-market offering programs for future stock sales and buybacks. Investors liked the dual move, sending MSTR stock up 0.56% on Monday to extend its recent upside momentum. When one company controls a fraction of the world's entire crypto supply, every single weekly filing turns into a Wall Street event.
