Check your credit card accounts this week for a quiet new discount. According to the points and miles blog Frequent Miler, American Express, the credit card giant, launched targeted offers giving 10 percent or 15 percent back on up to 100 dollars of spending at Kroger and its family of supermarket brands.

Different cardholders are seeing different percentages. One shopper got a 10 percent Offer while his wife got 15 percent. The savings work at Kroger itself, but also at regional affiliate brands like Ralphs and Food4Less, depending on which specific store is listed in your card's terms.

Just make sure to buy them physically in the store aisles, because online gift card purchases go through a separate payment processor that will not trigger the reward.
