Trader Joe's, the popular grocery chain known for its unique private-label items, is expanding its footprint across the United States with over 30 new locations on the way, according to the New York Post. The company currently operates more than 600 storefronts across the country, though several states still lack a single store, including Alaska, Mississippi, and Wyoming.

The steady growth follows the opening of 34 stores in 2024 and 43 stores in 2025. Among the newly announced spots are two stores in New Jersey, located in West Orange and Jersey City, alongside additions in New York, Texas, Florida, and California.

While the California-based company did not set a specific opening date for every new site, locations marked as opening soon typically welcome shoppers three to six months after being announced online. For local shoppers, this continued expansion means easier access to the grocery chain's distinct product selection closer to home, potentially cutting down travel time for your weekly grocery runs.

The steady rollout shows no signs of slowing down as the retailer brings its neighborhood grocery concept to more communities.
