SpaceX options price a 6 percent move after upcoming earnings

SpaceX, the space technology company, has options contracts currently pricing only a 6 percent move after its upcoming report. Oliver Renick, a reporter, highlighted the forecast. "It's been a very busy quarter for SpaceX, which is why it's so interesting that options right now are only pricing a 6% move for the company after its report."
That 6 percent move is less than half the drama of the 13 percent swing shares took after inaugural earnings. That early August swing formed the bottom for the stock. It coincided with big market participants selling puts, which are options contracts that give the owner the right to sell a stock at a specified price. Sometimes the stock market prefers a gentle breeze over a rocket launch.
