Carrier to invest $600 million in a new Texas manufacturing center

Carrier Global Corporation is pouring $600 million into Fort Worth.

The short version

  • The massive project brings a one million square foot manufacturing center.
  • Operations are expected to start in the facility in 2027.
  • The investment will create 1,500 advanced engineering and manufacturing jobs.

Carrier Global Corporation, the huge heating and air-conditioning maker, plans to invest more than $600 million over the next three years. The money builds a new one million square foot advanced manufacturing and engineering center in Fort Worth, Texas. According to Connect CRE, the massive new site sits in Hillwood's AllianceTexas development.

The project shows Carrier's push for domestic manufacturing as the largest U.S.-headquartered company in its industry. This investment expands the company's U.S. manufacturing capacity for advanced thermal management systems, including air- and water-cooled commercial chillers. It helps customers meet growing demand for intelligent climate and energy solutions across data centers, healthcare, education and industrial markets.

Carrier expects to begin operations in the facility in 2027. The heavy investment will create 1,500 advanced manufacturing, engineering and other jobs in the area. For local suppliers and logistics businesses, a project of this scale brings a massive wave of new commercial activity to the region.

When a giant industrial plant opens up down the road, the whole local supply chain feels the lift.
