Check your portfolio if you hold tech stocks. Jewish billionaire Michael Dell just passed Google co-founder Sergey Brin for the No. 4 spot on the Forbes real-time billionaire list on Monday. Dell saw his estimated net worth rise 2.4 percent to $243 billion as Dell Technologies, the computer and server maker, jumped over 3 percent on Monday afternoon to $472.43.
Meanwhile, Sergey Brin, who helped start Google, watched his fortune fall a fraction of a percent to $241.7 billion. According to Forbes, Alphabet, which owns Google and YouTube, took a small hit as its stock recorded a fifth consecutive day of losses.
Dell has repeatedly landed in the top five recently as his company hits all-time highs amid massive demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure. That is the kind of demand that makes server racks worth more than gold. Dell stock has soared an incredible 274 percent since the start of the year, when it traded around the $127 mark.

Dell holds a roughly 40 percent stake in his company, sitting behind Alphabet co-founder Larry Page at $262.8 billion, Amazon co-founder Jeff Bezos at $368.8 billion, and Tesla chief Elon Musk at $939.3 billion. Dell Technologies is slated to report its fiscal third-quarter earnings on Nov. 24, which will reveal how much of the company's AI backlog is finally converting into cash. When the server builder has a good month, the Texas economy feels the ripple.
