New Jersey restaurants can apply for $5,000 grants until November 11
Wonder and Grubhub offer $1 million in small grants.

The short version
- Single-location restaurants in New Jersey qualify for the $5,000.
- Apply online at the Restaurant Strong Fund website by November 11.
- Selected winners will be announced on December 1.
Independent Restaurant owners across New Jersey have until November 11 to apply for a fresh round of funding. Wonder, a food delivery startup, and The Greg Hill Foundation's Restaurant Strong Fund are accepting applications for $1 million in total grants. The money is funded by the Grubhub Community Fund, the charitable arm of Grubhub, which is the online food-ordering and delivery platform.
Each grant is worth $5,000 and goes to small, single-location restaurants in 12 key United States markets, including New Jersey. The money is meant to drive revenue growth and can pay for upgraded kitchen equipment, marketing services, staff training, or building maintenance.
Restaurants applying must outline clear plans for how the money will be used and set measurable goals for growth. This grant cycle marks the sixth year of support from the Grubhub Community Fund. The program launched during the pandemic to keep independent kitchens afloat and has since awarded more than 2,700 grants nationwide.
Selected grant recipients will be announced on Giving Tuesday, December 1. For a local eatery trying to upgrade ovens or pay for advertising, it is a chance to grab outside cash before the holiday season.
